The intricate design features a glitter card background adorned with daffodils and pomegranates, symbolising Persephone's dual nature as the bringer of spring and the ruler of the underworld. At the heart of door side of the shrine is a 3D decoupage skull, representing her reign over the dead. Surrounding the skull are four red jewels, with an additional two on the inside of the tin, symbolizing the six pomegranate seeds that bound Persephone to the underworld and sealed her fate as its Queen.
The inside of shrine also includes a large bronze resin depiction of Persephone, exuding her grace and power, alongside a small offering altar in the Ancient Greek styling familiar to Persephone herself, for your personal devotions.
The external measurements of the tin are 82 mm high, 52 mm wide, and 16 mm deep (3 1/4" x 2" x 1/3"), making it ideal for both discretion and portability.
In addition to its practical design, the Persephone shrine is also deeply symbolic. The daffodils and pomegranates on the glitter card background represent her roles in both the emergence of spring and the mysteries of the underworld. The 3D decoupage skull signifies her dominion over death and her role as a guide through transformation and rebirth. The six red jewels highlight the pivotal moment when she became the Queen of the Underworld, embodying the themes of fate and destiny. The bronze depiction of Persephone herself serves as a powerful reminder of her dual nature and her ability to bridge the worlds of life and death.
This Persephone shrine is not only a practical tool for connecting with the goddess but also a profound symbol of her many aspects and powers. Whether you are a practitioner of mythology, a student of the ancient mysteries, or someone seeking transformation and renewal, this shrine will help you connect with the powerful and enigmatic goddess Persephone.
